Att nästa Medal of Honor-spel låter sig inspireras tämligen friskt av konkurrenten Call of Duty står klar sedan länge. Nödvändigt eller ej, ytterligare bekräftelse ges i nästa nummer av tidningen Official Xbox Magazine, som förklarar att den spelbara huvudrollen kommer delas mellan flera karaktärer (klassiskt CoD-upplägg) och att man kan sprinta och attackera med kniv (förekommer i CoD). I övrigt utspelas det hela i ett nutida Afghanistan (dubbelt CoD) och intressant nog jobbar inte helt obekanta Dice på spelets multiplayerdel (kan betyda dedikerade servrar - vilket faktiskt är icke-CoD).
Medal of Honor utvecklas till Windows, Xbox 360 och Playstation 3 och tanken är att det ska släppas någon gång i år.

Modern Warfare 2 Most Pirated Title of 2009 |

 PC titles most downloaded gaming software.
December 28, 2009 - According to TorrentFreak, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 has been downloaded illegally nearly 4,100,000 times for PC in 2009, topping the list after only releasing just two months ago.
Provided these numbers are indeed accurate, Activision has potentially lost more than $245 million in sales on the PC version alone.
The Sims 3, Prototype, Need for Speed Shift, and Street Fighter IV help round off the top five for the year, all of which appeared on the PC platform.
New Super Mario Bros. Wii was the highest downloaded Wii title with 1,150,000 downloads.
The report notes the total download figures for this year double that of last year's numbers, and that PC remains to be the target for torrent downloads, with more than three times that of the Wii and Xbox 360.

Battlefield Bad Company 2 multiplayer beta is presently available on the PlayStation 3 with only single mode and of course a giant map called Arica Harbour. In the Rush Mode of the game, players only need to destroy the tactical points as the offensive party. Yes, the others have to defend these. Earlier this mode was known as Gold Rush, hence there is nothing new.
The destructable environments of Battlefield Bad Company 2 differs it from other shooters. Here, in this game, almost everything can be taken down and because of this there are left no hiding places. The game makes players always on the move.
As in the previous Bad Company, players can here choose from series of vehicles which are used in practical for the offence and also the defense. The speed vehicles such as the quads are in fact ideal to cross the large distances in the game plot and the tanks are the truly power beast in it.
Helicopter can be controlled remotely from the base in the game and it can be used for exploration and also for offensive means. The weapons arsenal are also extended these are adjusted as per ones choice.

Det vore inte första gång en spelkrängare svänger sig med datum som inte är bekräftade från officiellt håll men vanligtvis rör det sig om uppgifter om när spelet ska släppas. På amerikanska Gamestops sajt kan vi dock läsa oss till att den efterlängtade pc-betan av Battlefield: Bad Company 2 startar den 28 januari och slutar månaden därefter, 25 februari.
Uppgifterna är som sagt inte bekräftade men buggjagandet i datorversionen ska dra igång i början av nästa år så det är inte omöjligt. Vi ska försöka få saken utredd via våra vänner på Dice.
Medan vi väntar att få beträda slagfältet läser vi intressant information på spelets officiella forum där en admin knåpat ihop en sammandattning. Bland annat beskriver han ett hardcore-läge som finns tillgängligt för alla fyra spelsätt. Med det påslaget försvinner det grafiska gränssnittet så du kommer inte att kunna se din hälsa eller sikta utan ironsights (eller rödpunktssikte). Friendly fire slås även på och den hett debatterade kill cam-funktionen stängs av.

 Star Wars: Galactic Mod Beta 0.4 Is Online
After eleven months of modding, mapping, scripting and skinning it's basically done! On time with Christmas we are happy to present our Beta 0.4 of Star Wars Mod: Galactic Warfare.
All began with a 3D-model, and soon the idea to extend this theme as a non commercial fan project was born. It's our goal to unite our favourite game CoD4:MW with the classic universe of Star Wars, as the best trilogy ever. With this total conversion we will combine lot of the known battlegrounds, characters and weapons of Star Wars with the fantastic gameplay of the COD4-Multiplayer.
Either as a trooper of the Imperial Forces or as a soldier from the Rebel Alliance you will fight on Tatooine in the streets of the legendary space harbour Mos Eisley. The Beta contains one map but others in different locations as well as further weapons and player models are of course in the works.
This modification for COD4 is a result of the co-operative collaboration of many ambitioned modders who create this spare time project together as a team. Everyone involved contributes the own skills in the areas in which their expertise is at its best. So far, the core team consists of Mapicted, Xfckup, Old Man With Gun, Xiao, Rollercoaster, T.R. Graves, Sizzer, Zeroy, Nightwing and Novemberdobby. We of course got a lot of help also from other modders and members of the worldwide community. Thanks for all the help and feedback!

Ubisoft Registers 'Ghost Recon Future Soldier' |

Nya Ghost Recon spelet!
December 21, 2009 - A new trademark filing from Ubisoft reveals the company registered 'Ghost Recon Future Soldier,' which perhaps is the new name for its still unnamed fourth Ghost Recon title.
This past October, it was discovered through Australia's Office of Film and Literature Classification board the company also registered 'Ghost Recon Predator,' so perhaps these will be separate titles.
Regardless, looks like fans should expect more 'Ghost Recon' in the near future. Ubisoft confirmed last April Ghost Recon 4 would see a 2010 release, though, has yet to comment on it since.
